For the color and material styling course I made various material experiments, for example I colored fabrics with natural raw materials such as coffee, turmeric, berries and so on. I also macramed, crocheted, woven, stitched, sewed and did needle punch. The central assignment was to go in two directions in which you did an ode to the planet. The two directions I chose were Love the structures and Soft touch. The love for structures was about the fact that I am very interested in structures that nature itself creates. Soft touch was about the way you pick a flower with feeling, I thought this was a nice point of view and theme to highlight the lovely side. From these two themes I made several material experiments. I also processed these material experiments and photoshopped them into clothing to show how these experiments should look in clothing.
