The main assignment was to create a work of art of half human half animal. You were free to choose how you approached this assignment, so you could take the whole body, limbs or face. Furthermore, I was free to interpret and perform all this myself in the way I liked. First I started sketching and making body parts between animals like a human with lion fur and mane, then a human with crocodile skin. Finally I made a sketch of a person with snakes for hair. To my surprise, my teacher told me that I had drawn medusa with my face. I had drawn this sketch on linoleum and gouged it out and made several prints of it with ink and roller. Then I added multiple types of snakeskin on half of the snakes. I took a portrait photo of myself and added it. I chose to add all added parts of skin both my own face and snakeskin in parts to make it more exciting and let the background come through. After this I painted the snake tongues red. I sewed through the work with gold thread in the shapes of the snakes that were not yet filled with snake skin.
